My artistic theme is ichigo ichie—“one time, one meeting,” or a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
No scene I encounter while photographing will ever appear in exactly the same way again. Each viewer, too, may receive a different impression every time they encounter my work.
I treasure these fleeting moments and hope that, through my photographs, viewers can experience the very best expression I am able to offer at that instant.
